At 5 pm of April 15th, 2015, Mr. ZHANG Yi headed the Delegation to pay a visit to the Office of Lazio Sport Society in Rome in the companionship of Mr. Giorgio Casadei, Senior Advisor of the Commission and Mme Giada WU Wenci, Director of Italian Liaison Office of EUCNC. Mr. ZHANG met with Mr. Claudio Lotito, President of Lazio Sport Society and Mr. Giulio Gargano, General Director of Lazio Sport Society and discussed with them on the issue of carrying out joint cooperation in the field of football.

Lazio Sport Society is the famous football club established in Rome in 1900. Now, Lazio is one of the football teams of Serie A and has won numerous glorious championships in Europe. This world-famous football team enjoys a prestigious reputation in China. Mr. Claudio Lotito, President of Lazio is also the Deputy President of Italian Serie A Championship and the Deputy President of Italian Football Championship. He is the real football leader in Italy, even in Europe.

Both parties were engaged in the issue of carrying out the joint cooperation of football between Italian and Chinese youths. Mr. ZHANG firstly briefed the current situations and opportunities of China national youth campus football project to Mr. Claudio Lotito. As early as in March, 2012, the Commission has established the working relationship with the Leading Group of China National Campus Football Work for the Youths and decided to jointly introduce the high-quality European football resources in order to spur the progress of the youth football cause of China. The initiative put forward by the Commission has won the strong support from the related authorities of China. Consequently, the Commission has taken the lead ahead. Against the background in which the promotion of the youth campus football in China is in the rage, there will be great opportunities of cooperation in this field. Mr. Claudio Lotito recognized the remarkable chance for the development of Lazio Sport Society because of the market of China and was quite willing to share the precious experiences of training the youth accumulated over the years and systematically introduce them into China through the concrete projects of cooperation with a view to promoting the development of the football cause of China and strengthening the friendship between Chinese and Italians. Mr. ZHANG pointed it out that 2015 was the 45th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relation between China and Italy and the 40th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relation between China and EU as well. On this special occasion, the joint cooperation on both sides would surely add luster to two special anniversaries. Amid the friendly and pleasant atmosphere, both parties have reached the multiple intentions of cooperation and decided to establish the strategic partnership.

At 8 pm of that day, Mr. ZHANG Yi was invited to the family banquet at the home of MmeRossellaBussetti, Director of Orion Company, the famous professional sport event organizing company and both parties have reached the intention of carrying out the related cooperation .MmeRossellaBussetti is the famous sport event organizer in Italy, who possesses the rich experiences of 25 years in the related field, powerful working resources and strong network. Now, she has set up Orion Company in London, U.K. recently with a view to furthering the organizing standard of the international sport events. Mr. ZHANG presented the current situation of China national youth campus football campaign in a systematic way and indicated his willingness of combining the strong social resources of the Commission and the remarkably rich experiences of Orion Company in the field of organizing the sport event as the synergy. Every party should play its part well and make joint efforts to improve the standard of the youth football and other sport events of China in order to promote their internationalization work. MmeRossellaBussetti acknowledged the view of Mr. ZHANG and was willing to actively participate in the future planning and vision of EUCNC. Through the concrete projects of cooperation, Orion Company would like to make its own contribution to the sport cause of China. Both parties have reached the consensus on the concrete form of cooperation, the related content and decided to set up the strategic partnership.
