On April 17th, 2015, Mr. ZHANG Yi, who was on the business trip in Italy, was engaged in the field investigation on high-quality projects of Italian tourism and technology in the companionship of Mr. Giorgio Casadei, Senior Advisor of the Commission and Mme Giada WU Wenci, Director of Italian Liaison Office of the Commission. The concerned parties have reached the consensus of future cooperation. 

   At 10 pm, Mr. ZHANG Yi and his companions visited Canino by car, which was to the north of Rome nearly 120 miles away. Accompanied by the local developers with Mr. Elia Federici as the head, Mr. ZHANG Yi conducted the field investigation on the project of Acque Di Vulci Spa Resort and Thermal Therapy Complex. The project was near the boundary between Latium and Tuscany, the world-famous scenic spot with the relatively convenient location of 90 minutes’ driving distance to the downtown of Rome, and 75 minutes’, 40 minutes’ driving distance respectively to Rome Fiumicino Airport and Civitavecchia Port. This project aimed to provide the tourists from the world with the leisure resort, the therapy place for skin diseases etc. by virtue of the underground thermal water resources with the governmental permission in the hope of promoting the work of upgrading the series of local industry.

Mr. ZHANG Yi and his companions went to the site of the project and were greatly impressed by the superb scenery and high-quality thermal springs. After the presentation of the project, Mr. ZHANG pointed out that it was appropriate to set this project as the high-end tourism project since there would be more and more Chinese tourists who expected to have the in-depth travelling in Italy. The Commission would introduce this project to the market of China and open the new route for the high-end travelling agencies. In the collaboration with the local developers of the project, the Commission expected to step up the process of developing this project. Mr. Elia Federici expressed his heart-felt gratitude to Mr. ZHANG’s investigation and believed that such a high-quality tourism resources deserve the dedicated efforts of many years and this project surely bring the unique leisure and health recovery experiences for Chinese tourists from afar. 

At 4 pm, Mr. ZHANG Yi and his companions visited Sogei Company owned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and held the business meeting with Mr. Cristiano Cannarsa, President of Sogei and Mme Carla Ramella, Mr. Fabio Pianelli, major officials of Sogei and others.

Mme Carla Ramella and Mr. Fabio Pianelli respectively introduced the basic facts and the concurrent projects of Sogei to the guests. Sogei is the IT company that handles the designated work by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and boasts of the great strength in the field of data processing. As the powerful company, Sogei provides the information technology support to the Italian government. At present, Sogei has developed the special software for the Customs Authority of Italy, which combines the speedy process of going through the customs and the effective control and management of the Customs Authority in a creative way. With this technology, all the import and export goods at the ports of Italy can realize the process of direct delivery upon the entry of goods into the port, which means the great reduction of the cost of time. This technology has been applied to the Port of Venice and served as a god model. In the meanwhile, this technology can be used in other fields and can achieve the purpose of industrial upgrading on the basis of the internet technology. 

Mr. ZHANG Yi showed the great interest in this technology of Sogei. He pointed out that the Chinese government had put forward the concept, Internet +, whose essence was to realize the industrial upgrading of Chinese manufacturing sectors by virtue of the advantages of the internet of things. What Sogei had achieved in this field could be completely accepted as the good reference for China. Mr. Cristiano Cannarsa remarked, Sogei also undertook other important tasks and was engaged in the work of carrying out the real time monitoring on the land registry information across the whole Italy through the advanced technology and notions, which proved that Sogei possessed the powerful technical strength in the data processing. Mr. ZHANG informed Mr. Cristiano Cannarsa of that, the Commission was about to hold the international symposium concerning the work of building core areas of The Belt and Road in September of this year. The Commission would invite Sogei to attend this meeting, in which Sogei could present the high-quality resolution plan for the work of building The Belt and Road after the systematic specification of usage and advantages of Sogei’s technology. Mr. Cristiano Cannarsa gladly accepted this invitation and expressed his expectation to see that the technology of Sogei could be used in more countries and fields. After the meeting, Mr. ZHANG Yi visited the building of Sogei in the companionship of Mr. Cristiano Cannarsa.

At 8 pm, Mr. Gianni De Michelis, Honorary Chairman of the Commission and Mr. ZHANG Yi jointly met with Mr. Stefano Parisi, Founder and Chairman of Chili Company. 

Mr. Stefano Parisi presented the related technical advantages of Chili and his willingness to open the market of China and seek the related cooperation to Mr. ZHANG Yi. Chili Company is the company that provides the internet video technology and platform and enjoys its influence in European market. The Company owns the advantages in the video production technology and has explored a competitive business model recognized by the market out of the practices. Mr. Stefano Parisi remarked, since there existed such a huge market and great potentials in the field of Chinese internet video, Chili was quite willing to open the market of China in the collaboration with the Commission. 

Mr. ZHANG Yi recognized the advanced technology and management notions of Chili Company and seconded its willingness to enter the market of China. He pointed out that the Chinese government spared no effort to develop the industry of cultural creativity and encouraged Chinese enterprises to promote Chinese culture in the world on the basis of absorbing the excellent ideas of foreign countries. Since video was the comprehensive product of cultural creativity, while the video website had the remarkably convenient transmission channel, all of these would bring the chance of development to Chili Company. In the meanwhile, the Chinese government encouraged the notion of the mass entrepreneurship and innovation, video was also the excellent method of presenting the ideas of entrepreneurship and the innovative technologies, which would enkindle the demands of Chinese users in the field of self-made video. It was the right time for Chili to enter China.

Mr. Stefano Parisi said, Chili Company enjoyed the high-level performance in the field of technical treatment of video and could provide the easy and flexible technology to the ordinary customers who wanted DIY. Italy was the great power in the field of cultural creativity, cultural and industrial designing, while the capabilities of Italian IT talents were on the equal footing with their counterparts at Silicon Valley in U.S., but the former had the great competitiveness in the wages in comparison with the latter. All of these would lay the good foundation for the future cooperation on both sides. Afterwards, Mr. ZHANG Yi introduced the social resources of the Commission in China to Mr. Stefano Parisi and jointly worked out the practical road map for Chili Company’s entry into China.
