At 8:30 of September 12^th, 2015, Songshan Forum raised its curtain. Mr. ZHANG Yi headed the Delegation to attend the Opening Ceremony.

At the Opening Ceremony, Mr. ZHANG Guangzhi, Vice Governor of Henan Provincial Government firstly delivered his welcoming speech to all the attendees. He pointed it out that the annual topic “Harmony through Diversity: Collectively Constructing a Community Rooted in the Shared Fate of Humanity” is the embodiment of efforts of inheriting historical civilization and humanitarian emotions and concerns towards the future of the world and human fate.

Mr. ZHANG Baowen, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of National People’s Congress delivered the keynote speech. He remarked, since 2012, Songshan Forum is consistently devoted to the work of constructing the spiritual home for Chinese nation, preserving the diversity of civilization, and safeguarding the peace and development of the world. It has become the important international platform for cultural exchange and civilization dialogue between different countries. 2015 Songshan Forum aims to find the solution to the present issues of the world and make its due contribution to the shared fate of humanity through the effort of inheriting and innovating Chinese history and civilization amid the exchange interaction between Chinese and other civilizations in the world.

Mr. Mario OCCHIUTO, the President of Cosenza Province, Italy delivered the keynote speech as well. He said, Italian Delegation came to attend the Forum with the respect and admiration for the Chinese historical experiences of several thousand years. From now on, Italy and China would aim to achieve two objectives of vital importance, namely, the industrial partnership closely linked with the innovation and research, the cooperation in the field of sustainable culture and environment,and status identity. He believed that Italians and Chinese would make the contribution to the new cooperation and development between two countries through joint efforts.

After the tea break, several world-famous scholars delivered their keynote speeches around the annual topic.

During the Opening Ceremony, Mr. ZHANG Guangzhi, Vice Governor of Henan Provincial Government met with Mr. ZAHNG Yi. Mr. ZHANG Yi introduced the current work of the Commission to Vice Governor and indicated his willingness of deliberately selecting high-quality European resources and projects for Henan Province and providing the assistance in the work of building the Belt and Road and China-Europe partnership on urbanization through the concrete actions of economic cooperation and cultural exchange. Mr. ZHANG Guangzhi extended his tanks to the fact that the Commission invited Italian Delegation to attend 2015 Songshan Forum and expected the Commission to make greater contribution to the international cooperation and external exchange as for Henan Province with a view to jointly setting up down-to-earth and practical mechanism in the long term. Mr. ZHANG Yi remarked, while implementing the cooperation projects of 2015 Songshan Forum, the Commission would promote the Forum in Europe in order to improve its international reputation and enable it to become one of the forums with the great influence in the world.
