Jinan Fruit Research Institute was established in 1980 and is the only professional research institute for the research and development of post-harvest fruit and vegetables at the national level. In 1990s, the Chinese and German governments had jointly invested 80 million RMB and established China Technology and Research Center for Storage and Processing of Fruit and Vegetables (CTCF). After the development of years, CTCF has become the cooperation platform for the international advanced technologies and equipment, the international academic platform and the incubating platform for the internationalization of Chinese fruits and vegetables.

Mr. ZHANG Yi and his companions firstly had the field investigation of the current status of the technological research and the production of CTCF. As the authoritative institution, CTCF not only possesses the strong capabilities of R & D and advanced equipment, but also has established the commercial system for Chinese processing enterprises of fruits and vegetables. CTCF is on the successful way that integrates the research, production and marketing into one entity.
