On March 24^th, 2016, Executive Chairman ZHANG Yi was invited to head the Delegation to visit H Farm, a famous innovation and entrepreneurship space in the north of Venice with 45 minutes’driving away from Venice City. Mr. ZHANG Yi and his companions held the discussion with Mr. Maurizio Rossi, Founder and Co-CEO as for the issue of future cooperation. Mr. Giorgio Casadei, Senior Advisor of the Commission accompanied Mr. ZHANG Yi to visit H Farm.

H Farm was established in 2005, which has been the pioneer in Italian, even European youth innovation and entrepreneurship at that time. H Farm aims to lead the sci-tech development and new business operation mode in the future 20 years. Over the course of 11 years, it has become the famous innovation platform with tremendous influence. H Farm supports the innovation of business mode through the investment in start-up companies; promotes the transformation of big companies in the perspective of digital information and provides the high-level innovation and entrepreneurship education to students and professionals. Within 10 years from 2005 to 2015, H Farm has 71 investments in start-ups with the total amount of 17 million euros. Four investment projects have been exited with 73.4% Investment Return Ratio on Exit.

Mr. Maurizio Rossi extended warm welcome to Chinese guests and made the detailed introduction to the history and current situation of H Farm. He said, H Farm started from scratch and developed from strength to strength. Now, H Farm had three pillars, which were investment, industry and education and successfullyconstructed a new platform that integrated innovation and entrepreneurship into one entity.

Mr. ZHANG Yi firstly congratulated Mr. Rossi on his success. Mr. ZHANG Yi said, the Chinese government was actively engaged in the work of encouraging youth college students and all the professionals to undertake the innovation and entrepreneurship. The Chinese government also formulated the related policies to give the full support to it. Considering the fact that H Farm had made a try 11 years ago and made a success, the Commission was ready to facilitate the close partnership between H Farm and Chinese counterparts with a view to jointly constructing China-Europe Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base.

Mr. Rossi was very excited at Mr. ZHANG Yi’s words. He said, to establish partnership with Chinese friends was just what he himself and all the managers of H Farm were eager for. It was of vital importance and significance to carry out the cooperation in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship between Chinese and European youths. He was willing to cooperate with the Commission to implement the related cooperation.

Mr. YU Jiangang, Vice President of INESA learned the details of the operation situation and the future objective of H Farm. He said, this visiting was very inspiring. As the technology-oriented enterprise, INESA would like to publicize its own research projects at H Farm and select the best solution plan and the best executive team in Europe or even the world by virtue of the platform of H Farm. Mr. Maurizio Rossi said, H Harm has been the partner to many world-level big companies. He hoped that more and more Chinese enterprises publish the information of cooperation projects at H Farm and more and more Chinese enterprises benefit from China-Europe sci-tech cooperation. Mr. ZHANG Yi said, against the background that Chinese economy was at the transition phase and Chinese manufacturing was entering into the process of industrial upgrading, it would be a good choice for Chinese enterprises to establish the partnership with European innovation and entrepreneurship platform such as H Farm, which would not only help Chinese companies to make the technological breakthrough in real time, but also greatly reduce the related cost. The Commission would be actively engaged in the exploration with Chinese partners in the work of promoting China-Europe innovation and entrepreneurship cooperation.
