On October 10^th, 2016, Chairman ZHANG Yi was invited to attend Environmental Protection and Energy Forum, the subsidiary meeting of World Internet of Things Convention. He expounded his viewpoint as for the cooperation of smart environment protection and energy between European and Chinese parties, and specified the vision, significance, the concrete road map of the cooperation. His words had received positive feedback from the attendees.

World Internet of Things Convention (WIOTC) is the international high-level forum, which is founded by World Chinese Business Alliance Federation and other international commercial chambers. The annual session of WIOTC is held in different countries in the world. On October 10^th, Environmental Protection and Energy Forum was held in Beijing by the Organizing Committee of WIOTC, and Internet of Things Innovation Alliance. The topic of the Forum was “Internet of Things: Environment Protection and Energy, New Economy”. The attendees were consisted of the experts, the representatives of international environment protection institutions, diplomats and entrepreneurs from more than 10 countries and regions including Greece, Kenya, and Indonesia etc. The attendees discussed the current situation and the future direction of smart environment protection and energy, and exchanged their views on the issue of formulating the related standards.

Mr. ZHANG Yi at the Forum

Mr. ZHANG Yi was invited to deliver the keynote speech at the Forum. In his speech, Mr. ZHANG Yi said, against the background that the Chinese government was dedicated to the national policy of “deepening the reform, broadening the opening-up”, it would be the opportune time to hold the forum, whose mission was to gather the latest technology and ideas in the world, provide the solution plans to the sustainable development of China, and foster the green industry of China. He said, with the striding progress of the information technology, the internet of things (IOT), which used to be a visionary idea had become actualized. With the latest technology of IOT, to redefine the standard of energy distribution, the environment protection, would surely forge a totally new industry chain. All those concerned parties in this effort would have the good harvest of social and commercial benefits.

Mr. ZHANG Yi remarked, as the European NGO, ECMDC was dedicated to the sci-tech innovation cooperation between EU Member States and China. ECMDC sought after the best entry point for the cooperation project that stroke the ideal balance between the future development and the current needs. Henceforth, the subsidiary company of ECMDC had introduced the most advanced equipment of the disused cars dismantling from Arjes, German company. While providing the solution to the thorny issue of environment protection with which China was confronted, ECMDC expected to start with the project of Arjes to realize the perfect match between German technology and Chinese market, which would serve as the basis for the in-depth cooperation of recycling economy between China and Germany. Mr. ZHANG Yi said, ECMDC wanted to make full use of the project of Arjes as a case study, and call for the close cooperation with the concerned partners with a view to realizing the creative integration between the latest technology, ideas and traditional industries, current demands. ECMDC looked forward to providing the best road map for smart environment protection and energy of China through various successful cases.

In the meanwhile, Mr. ZHANG Yi also made the detailed introduction to the cooperation between ECMDC and UNESCO. He said, ECMDC was working with UNESCO to jointly set up UNESCO-China Sci-Tech Innovation and Education Center. ECMDC aimed to systematically introduce the latest sci-tech innovation resources of the world into China through this international platform and UNESCO partners. The Center attached importance to the education in society and would instill the ideas of smart environment protection and energy into the hearts of Chinese students. Therefore, ECMDC would like to join hands with the concerned parties, and turn the common understanding of this Forum into the practical cooperation projects.  

Mr. ZHANG Yi’s speech had received the thunderous applauses and positive feedback. In the ensuing activities, Mr. ZHANG Yi had reached the consensus of cooperation with many potential partners.
