On the afternoon of March 17^th, 2017, Chairman ZHANG Yi met with Mr. Frank-Jurgen Richter, Chairman of Horasis and Senior Advisor to ECMDC. They exchanged their views as for the preparatory work of 2017 Horasis meetings.

Mr. ZHANG Yi made the introduction of the recent work of ECMDC to Mr. Frank-Jurgen Richter. He said, as the co-chair of Horasis meetings, he and ECMDC are determined to enhance the publicity of Horasis meetings in China. ECMDC has explored the potential cooperation concerning Horasis meetings with many local governments of China. Mr. ZHANG Yi remarked, against the current background that there are rising uncertainties in the world, the international community needs more dialogues and cooperation in order to enhance the mutual trust among different countries. Since its establishment, Horasis adheres to the principle of the dialogue on the equal footing in order to seek the convergence of interests of different parties and promote the cooperation, which has made the remarkable achievements. Henceforth, ECMDC is willing to work with Horasis to be jointly engaged in all the activities that are favorable to the global peace and amity.

Mr. Frank-Jurgen Richter expressed his gratitude to the contribution Mr. ZHANG Yi and ECMDC has made to the development of Horasis meetings. He indicated his appreciation to the fact that Mr. ZHANG Yi managed to find time to attend Horasis meetings and act as co-chair. He said, Horasis is focused on the new emerging markets of the world and dedicated to the global cooperation. Through more than ten years’ development, Horasis has formed its own characteristics. With the strong support from ECMDC, Horasis will surely have the new dynamics and brilliant future. Therefore, Horasis is quite willing to join hands with ECMDC to forge ahead.

Mr. ZHANG Yi introduced the international forum ECMDC is preparing to Mr. Richter. Mr. ZHANG Yi invited Mr. Richter to attend the forum, who gladly accepted the invitation. Mr. ZHANG Yi and Mr. Frank-Jurgen Richter reached the consensus that the future meetings of ECMDC and Horasis can form the good interactive and supportive mechanism in order to mobilize the high-quality resources on both sides. Both parties are determined to advocate for the dialogues and cooperation, and create the new channels for the global cooperation through the successful holding of the meetings.
