On October 11^th, 2017, Mr. SUN Qijun, Managing Deputy Governor of Beijing Chaoyang District Government headed the delegation to visit Beijing Liaison Office of ECMDC. Chairman ZHANG Yi and Mr. SUN Qijun held the in-depth discussion concerning the issue of implementing international high-quality projects in the aspects of science-technology innovation, film industry and recycling economy demonstration cooperation in Chaoyang District. Both parties jointly formulated the road map and timetable for the follow-up. Ingrid JIANG, Chairperson of the Board of EU-China Municipal Development Project Management Co., Ltd attended the meeting as well.

Mr. ZHANG Yi extended his warm welcome to the visiting of the Delegation headed by Mr. SUN Qijun. He made the detailed introduction to the progress of ECMDC’s recent work. He remarked, Beijing Liaison Office of ECMDC is stationed in Chaoyang District, while he himself is the Member of Beijing Chaoyang District Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. Therefore, ECMDC is consistently putting the work of “converging the international high-quality resources to promote the development of Chaoyang District” on the top of the task lists. Owing to the devoted efforts of the team of ECMDC, concrete projects concerning science-technology innovation, film industry and recycling economy are in the process of settling down in Chaoyang District in a systematic way, which will boost the development of Chaoyang District with new dynamism.

Mr. SUN Qijun expressed his gratitude to the devoted efforts of Mr. ZHANG Yi and his team of ECMDC for the development of Chaoyang District. He said, Chaoyang is the important district of Beijing City, and is actively engaged in the work of building Beijing to be “Political Center, Cultural Center, International Exchange Center and Science-Technology Innovation Center” in China. Henceforth, Chaoyang District welcomes more and more international high-quality resources to settle down in Chaoyang, and more and more international friends to visit Chaoyang. He remarked, ECMDC can make the further efforts by virtue of its platform function to facilitate Sino-European cooperation, and make the greater contribution to the lofty cause of fostering the mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign friends. He recognized the value of projects concerning science-technology innovation, film industry and recycling economy that were being introduced by ECMDC into Chaoyang District. He said, Chaoyang District Government will give the full support to these projects that are favorable to the sustainable development of Chaoyang.

Mr. ZHANG Yi extended his heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Sun Qijun for the support from Chaoyang District Government. He said, ECMDC will further optimize all the concerned work, and be determined to establish the showcase of all the international high-quality resources and projects of ECMDC in Chaoyang District, which will be replicated in other Chinese cities. This effort will surely consolidate the geographical advantages of Chaoyang District in a further way. Mr. SUN Qijun agreed with Mr. ZHANG Yi on this point, and designated the concerned authorities to give the full support to the related work of ECMDC.

Both parties held the full evaluation of the road map and timetable for the follow-up, and reached the consensus of quickening the tempo of facilitating the related projects of ECMDC to settle down in Chaoyang, which will further the opening-up and international cooperation of Chaoyang District.
