From October 12th to 13th, Chairman ZHANG Yi was invited to head the Delegation to visit Jining National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (JNHIDZ) in Shandong Province. The Delegation had the field investigation of JNHIDZ, and got familiar with its current situation and prospect concerning health industry. Mr. ZHANG Yi signed the Strategic Partnership Agreement between ECMDC and JNHIDZ, and was engaged as the Advisor to JNHIDZ concerning the development of health industry park. The Delegation was consisted of Mr. YU Xiaodong, Senior Advisor to ECMDC and President of China Health Industry Development Alliance, and Mr. ZHANG Tianyou, Senior Advisor to ECMDC and the Chief Scientist of ECMDC Industrial Development Center for Life Health and Science-Technology. Mr. SHI Guangliang, Deputy Secretary of Jining Municipal Committee of Communist Party of China and senior officials of JNHIDZ attended Jining Seminar for Health Industry Development along with ECMDC Delegation, and accompanied the Delegation to visit the concerned companies of JNHIDZ.

The Strategic Partnership Agreement between ECMDC and JNHIDZ

Jining city is situated in the southwest of Shandong Province with the area of 11,000 square kilometers and the population of 8.35 million. Jining National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (JNHIDZ) was founded in May, 1992 with the area of 255 square kilometers and the population of 250 thousand. JNHIDZ is the high-tech zone with multiple pioneering missions in the aspects of science-technology, financing, innovation and entrepreneurship in China.

At the meeting, Mr. ZHANG Yi presented the detailed introduction concerning the current work undertaken by ECMDC in the aspect of health industry to Mr. SHI Guangliang, Deputy Secretary of Jining Municipal Committee of Communist Party of China. He said, ECMDC is actively promoting Sino-German cooperation on science-technology innovation, and facilitating the docking between Chinese and German pharmaceutical companies. In the meanwhile, ECMDC is working with Martinex Group, the famous Russian company of aesthetic medicine products and equipment to launch the International Cosmetology Laboratory with a view to implementing the cooperation on aesthetic medical industry along with Chinese companies. ECMDC makes the full use of its platform function, and is working on the masterplan for Sino-European cooperation on health industry, which welcomes JNHIDZ to join in.

Mr. SHI Guangliang remarked, JNHIDZ has the solid foundation in various industries, and boasts of four national-level manufacturing bases with the coverage of construction machinery, optoelectronic information, biotechnology and new textile materials. World Top 500 companies, such as HP, Oracle, IBM, Huawei etc. have established their branch companies or factories in JNHIDZ. Mr. SHI Guangliang said, JNHIDZ plans to develop the whole industrial chain concerning health, and welcomes ECMDC to introduce European high-quality resources into Jining, and work together to implement Sino-European cooperation on health industry, to which JNHIDZ will give its full support.

After the meeting, ECMDC Delegation was accompanied by senior officials of JNHIDZ to visit the Experiment Center for Science-Technology and Life of JNHIDZ, and several key bio-pharmaceutical companies. The Delegation got familiar with the current situation of health industry of JNHIDZ, and the actual demands concerning the cooperation between Chinese and European companies.

At Jining Seminar for Health Industry Development, Mr. ZHANG Yi represented ECMDC to sign the Strategic Partnership Agreement with JNHIDZ. Both parties intended to jointly construct China Silicon Valley for International Health Industry, China Incubation Base for High-Tech Biotechnology Enterprises with a view to constructing the demonstration zone concerning Sino-European cooperation on health industry.

Mr. ZHANG Yi Engaged as Advisor to JNHIDZ

Mr. ZHANG Yi received the engagement from JNHIDZ, and assumed the post of Advisor to JNHIDZ concerning the development of health industry park. In the near future, ECMDC Industrial Development Center for Life Health and Science-Technology will establish the base in JNHIDZ in order to gather European high-quality resources and boost the development of China’s health industry.
